Championship Saturday — All Results on One Page

SAT SEPT 26 — 12:30 AM — It’s Championship Saturday, and we’re down to the final few teams in each division.

To help you follow the results, we’ve created a special link listing all Saturday games across all divisions.

Here’s the schedule for all games on Championship Saturday. As games are completed, this page will reflect the final scores. Keep this page loaded on your mobile device and refresh it throughout the day for quick scoring updates.

3 Ways to Stay Informed

FRI SEPT 26 – 2:00 PM — It’s Friday afternoon, and we’re well into the double elimination phase of the Gay Softball World Series.

This year, myGSWS.com presents many different ways to track the final results of the tournament. Use the menus, above, to navigate through the site.

[Standings] From the menu above, you can find a list of all teams, by division, and their current status in the tournament. The Standings pages also show each team’s final placement in tournament. It’s a convenient summary format to quickly see where each team stands.

[Brackets] Also new this year, you can view each division in a traditional bracket format. Squeezing a large bracket onto a mobile device has been a challenge, but we’ve added colors and other features to help make it possible for you to view the results in this popular format.

[Team Pages] If you’ve followed myGSWS.com in previous years, this is the format you’re familiar with. Each team in the tournament has its own page providing details about each of their games, including information about their next upcoming games. This is the best way to keep track of your favorite team if you’re really only interested in following that team’s results.

Games continue through the championships on Saturday afternoon. Enjoy the games, and continue to use myGSWS.com for the latest results.

Kiest Field Update – Thursday Morning

Attention teams playing at Kiest Park on Thursday morning. We are experiencing a challenge for playing conditions on one of the fields, causing games to be slightly delayed. Tournament officials are working hard to make quick adjustments to keep games running on time.

As a reminder, all teams are expected to report to the fields for games at their scheduled times. Impacted teams may be contacted directly by a NAGAAA official with additional information.

Best of luck to all the B, C, and D Division teams as they begin double elimination play — and to Masters and A Division teams in pool play today!

Tournament Seeds – Tonight at Talent Show

WED SEPT 24 — 6 p.m. CT — Tournament seeds for the B, C, and D Divisions will be available tonight on myGSWS.com beginning at approximately 10:30 p.m. CT.

If you’d like to learn your team’s seed a bit earlier, we’ll be offering a sneak peak tonight at the Talent Show with a donation to the Talent Show, benefiting tonight’s charity. The sneak peak will be offered beginning at about 8:00 p.m. tonight at S4, the Talent Show venue on Cedar Springs. For divisions of play running later into the afternoon, we’ll have tournament seeds available as soon after 8:00 p.m. as possible.

Then, at 10:30 p.m. CT, we’ll begin posting the tournament seeds directly to myGSWS.com. We’re expecting very high traffic to the website during this period, when everybody is trying to access myGSWS.com at the exact same time — jamming up cell phone bandwidth and web servers. If this occurs tonight, we certainly ask your for your patience as traffic to the website settles down by 11:00 p.m. or so.

Best of luck to all the acts in the show tonight at S4!

Now Available: Real-Time Brackets

TUES SEPT 23, 9 PM CT — Just added: Online brackets for the B, C, and D Division. Later this week, we’ll add the A Division and Masters Division brackets.

Check out the “Brackets” menu linked from the top of this page, or go directly to the Brackets Home Page

You asked for brackets, and this year we’ve figured out a way to present tournament updates in the traditional bracket format. It’s been a challenge shrinking all this information into a mobile device – and we hope you’ll enjoy the results.

When double-elimination games start on Thursday morning, you’ll be able to follow along with myGSWS.com in yet another new and exciting way.

Bat Testing Reminders

SEPT 23 – 3PM — Tomorrow is final day for bat testing for B,C and D divisions. It will be from 6:30 – 10 a.m. at Kiest Field.

Thursday is the final day for bat testing for A and Masters and has been moved to Softball World. It will also be 6:30 – 10 a.m.

After 10 a.m. Thursday, no more bat testing will be conducted for the GSWS.

2014 GSWS Team Pages Now Posted

MON SEPT 22, 3 A.M. CT — If you’re logging in now, you can now see the live team pages for the A Division, D Division, and Masters Division teams. Over the next couple hours we’re doing some additional testing before loading the B Division and C Division pages.

UPDATE, 7:15 A.M. CT — All team pages are now loaded for all divisions. You can access them through the menu at the top of this page.

2014 Team Pages Launching Sunday Night

SEPT 15 — Gay Softball World Series games start in just over a week. Once again, we’ll be using myGSWS.com to give you quick access to all the game results.

Customized pages for each team will be launched at 11:59 pm, local Dallas time, on Sunday night.

Then, throughout the week, we’ll be adding results pages new for this year’s World Series:

* Pool Play Scores & Standings — Look at the results and standings from your team’s pool group all on the same page

* Double Elim Schedule & Results — A list of all double elimination games for each division, including the participating teams, the game time and location, plus the final score for completed games.

* Online Brackets — It’s no small feat to squish a 63-team bracket into the palm of your hand, but that’s exactly what we’ve done! You asked for it, and for the first time we’ll have all games shown in a traditional bracket format for all divisions.

Look for it all to launch beginning late-night Sunday.

New for Dallas 2014: Online Brackets

SEPT 7 — In addition to customized pages for each team, myGSWS.com is introducing online brackets and other features to help you get the most out of your Gay Softball World Series experience.

We’ve been relying on your input to improve myGSWS.com, and the feature you have asked for most is be able to see the tournament status in a traditional bracket format.

Over the next week or so, we’ll be configuring myGSWS.com and testing the system with mock results. During this time, results from previous tournaments may not be available.
