2018 NAGAAA Cup

SATURDAY, MAY 25, 2018 — NAGAAA Cup games are underway in the Twin Cities! The menus on myGSWS.com are updated to reflect results and schedules. The skies are clear and the temperatures are in the 80’s. Couldn’t be a more beautiful weekend for softball!

Beta Test – Real-Time Championship Updates

This year, NAGAAA and myGSWS are experimenting with bringing you live scoring updates from Championship Saturday. We don’t expect to have live updates from all 50 games today, but will be testing the technology and processes for possible greater use in future World Series events. Feel free to provide feedback on this experience to mygsws@gmail.com

Revised Saturday Schedule

FRIDAY, SEPT 8, 2017 — 10:20 PM PT — With a few spots on the Championship Saturday schedule on the line, there are still teams playing tonight at Delta Park.

If you’re playing on Saturday or planning to watch the games, please double check the games schedules.

NAGAAA has made some changes to field assignments, which were updated to myGSWS.com a few moments ago. What’s shown here is the most up-to-date schedule.

Are my hometown teams still alive?

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2017 — 8:50 A.M. — It’s Elimination Friday at the 2017 Gay Softball World Series — which means you’re trying to keep up with whether your favorite teams are still playing.

This year, myGSWS.com is introducing a feature that will help you quickly find out whether your hometown teams are still playing — and when and where their next game is.

Just go to the menus above and select “Live Standings” — or use this link.

Volunteers at each venue are working to input scores as quickly as possible to make sure you have the best and most up-to-date information available.

Thursday: All 185 teams in action today

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2017 — 10:00 a.m. PT — Checking in with a brief update on where each of the divisions stand as we begin play on Thursday morning. For the first time this week, all 185 teams will see action today:
* B, C, and D Divisions: Double elimination play began this earlier this morning, and continues all day at Delta Park (C Division), Hood View (B Division) and Hillsboro (D Division).
* Masters Division: Later today, the Masters Division concludes their pool play, in both the Masters Classic and Masters Legends divisions, at Delta Park
* A Division: Later today, A Division pool play begins at Hood View.

Best of luck to all the teams!

B, C, and D Seeds Coming Soon

WEDNESDAY, SEPT 6, 2017 — 10:10PM

The NAGAAA Board is conducting a final review of the double elimination seeds for the B, C, and D Divisions. Seeds will first be announced at the Lip Sync Battle event at the DoubleTree — and then revealed on myGSWS.com about 15 minutes later.

We’re expecting for the big reveal at the Lip Sync Battle to happen at about 10:30pm PT — with the update to myGSWS.com at about 10:45pm.

Best of luck to the B, C, and D Divisions as they begin double elimination play on Thursday.

Updated Masters Legends Games

MONDAY, SEPT 4, 2017 — 6:45 PM PT — We want to bring your attention to a discrepancy between the Masters Legends Division pool assignments distributed on paper to Summer Meetings delegates and what was appearing on myGSWS until just a few moments ago.

The paper copy distributed to delegates contained the correct schedule and pool assignments. The online version contained an early draft of the pool assignments, which resulted in an incorrect set of opponents.

As of a few moments ago, myGSWS has been updated to match the paper copy distributed to delegates. Many thanks to all of you who pointed out the discrepancy.

Now, it’s time to enjoy the Opening Ceremonies and get ready for B, C, and D Division softball on Tuesday morning!

2017 GSWS Pool Play Assignments

SATURDAY, SEPT 2, 11:30 AM PT — World Series pool play assignments are now posted. You can find them using the menus at the top of this page. As some of you noticed, what was originally posted on myGSWS.com did not match the version on the Portland host city website.

We’ve coordinated with the NAGAAA Board to correct this error, and as of a few moments ago myGSWS.com has been corrected to show the most up-to-date information. The changes impacted about 15 teams in the B Division and Masters Classic Division.

If you notice any problems or discrepancies with what’s posted here, please contact us at mygsws@gmail.com

Gearing Up For Portland

SATURDAY, AUGUST 26, 2017 — Only nine days until Opening Ceremonies for the start of 2017 Gay Softball World Series in Portland. Games begin on Tuesday, September 5, with championship games in all divisions on Saturday, September 9, at Delta Park.

Once again, myGSWS.com will be providing scores, standings, and results for the tournament. As of this morning, the menus at the top of this page reflect the results of the 2017 NAGAAA Cup. By Thursday, August 31, the menus will switch over to show the 185 teams participating in six divisions this year.

We’re not expecting to release the 2017 pool play schedule on myGSWS.com until after it has been distributed at the Managers Meeting on Monday afternoon, September 1.

In the meantime, check out the outstanding list of events our Portland hosts have lined up for us. Check it out at http://www.gsws2017.org/new-events/
