Good evening. Here is the evening update: Games for Wednesday, August 17, will not begin before 6:00pm. Tomorrow morning the Board, Athletic Director, and UIC will communicate with the local host city and the staff at the parks to get the most up-to-date assessment of the conditions.
We will update you in the morning.
Once again, we thank you for your patience and understanding.
TUESDAY, 5:45 PM CT — Registration on Wednesday will be ONLY at the Hilton from 11-5 on the 4th floor. There will not be registration at the fields on Wednesday.
However, the rule stating that registration ends at the beginning of double elimination for a division has been waived.
A player will be allowed to play as long as they register prior to taking the field.

4:45pm CT — UPDATE
Pool play games cancelled.
B,C,D divisions will begin double elimination games on Wednesday at noon.
Masters and A Divisions will begin play on Thursday
All games will be played at Krieg park. Brackets will be posted later this evening.
12 NOON — UPDATE
Although we’ve tried to do everything possible to make the fields playable, there will be no games played today (Tuesday August 16). We will provide an update around 8:00pm tonight for tomorrow’s schedule.
Thank you very much to all of the volunteers that worked so hard on the fields this morning to try to get the fields into playable condition. We wouldn’t be NAGAAA without you!

10:00 AM — UPDATE: The 12:00 and 1:00 games at SE Metro will be rescheduled. Other changes will occur as we evaluate field conditions. Please be patient with us. We will update you again at approximately noon.
8:30 AM — From Assistant Commissioner Kevin Riddle: “We are in need of as many volunteers as possible to help us get Krieg Fields prepared for game play today. Please be at the park at 9:30am. We could use 30 to 40 people to help.”

We also have links to pool play scores and standings, and later in the week we’ll publish online brackets for the double elimination tournament.
In the event of further inclement weather this week, myGSWS.com may not always have the best information for schedule updates. For changes to the schedule, you’ll want to refer to communications from NAGAAA officials — and then we’ll work as quickly as possible to have any changes reflected here.
Because of the changes on Tuesday to the tournament schedule, you may find a few errors and typos. If so, don’t hesitate to email us at mygsws@gmail.com
UPDATE: We’ve noticed a few typos in the double elimination schedule for the Masters Division games on Thursday, so we haven’t yet fully enabled all features for that division.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 16, 12:40 am — Pool play schedules have been posted via PDF on the NAGAAA website, at the folllowing location: http://www.nagaaasoftball.org/gsws/
A few very important points:
* Pool play has been reduced from four games down to three games for all divisions of play.
* Pool play assignments have been revised to reflect the change in the number of pool games. Please make sure you’re checking both of the documents at the link above.
* There are no games scheduled for Havins Field on Tuesday. NAGAAA will assess those fields throughout the day, with games tentatively scheduled for that location on Wednesday.
Over the next couple hours, we’ll be setting up myGSWS.com to reflect this schedule. By tomorrow morning we’ll have all the features you’ve come to expect, including customized team pages and standings and results pages for each of the pools.
In the event of continued logistical challenges due to Mother Nature, communication from NAGAAA officials will be your official source of scheduling information.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 14, 8:10pm CT — Pool play schedules will be distributed at the Managers Meeting, held Monday at 1pm.
Shortly after the conclusion of the Managers Meeting, the schedules will be posted on myGSWS.com.
Pool assignments were announced last week through a link from the NAGAAA Facebook page.
Some of you may believe you have already discovered your team’s schedule through a Google search. If that sounds like you, what you really found was a page of test data we use to prepare myGSWS.com for the real schedule when it’s available. Please be patient! We’ll have everything you need on Monday afternoon!
FRIDAY, AUGUST 12 — Once again, myGSWS.com is gearing up the 2016 Gay Softball World Series in Austin, Texas. By Sunday, you can expect to see pool play schedules posted on myGSWS.com. Then on Monday, we’re launching the customized team pages for each of the 187 teams competing in Austin across five divisions of play.
UPDATE: Some of you have figured out how to find pages not linked to the menus above. Please note that any pages you find are filled with test data. Official schedule information, when available, will be provide directly from NAGAAA.
